Instructional Barriers
Instructional barriers are also referred to as curricular barriers in most of the UDL literature. These sorts of barriers might include:
- the learning materials – books, videos, CDs, rulers, calculators, etc.
- strategies to facilitate learning and learner interactions (with each other, with the content, with the teacher)
- activities that you have students do to enhance their engagement with the content and with other learners
- assessments – how you assess, what you use to assess, and what you define as the learning outcomes to be demonstrated
