Universally-Designed Learning Materials - ACTIVITY
Choose one learning material that you use in your classroom (a handout, a worksheet, manipulatives, a book, etc.) and decide how it can be improved to be more universally designed. It may require better layout/visual design, it may require being offered in a more flexible format - how you adapt it is your recommendation.
Describe the learning material in its original state, what limitations it might present for some users, how you would modify it to make it useful for all or nearly all learners in your classroom, and why and how adapting that material will likely increase learning in your class.
If you work in a corporate environment, choose a job aid in your work environment that could be adapted to be universally acceptable.
If neither of those conditions apply (or if you find this more interesting), choose one of the materials have posted for this tutorial and consider how it can be improved based on universal design.
