In the module on “What is UDL” included the 7 principles of universal design and the companion 7 principles of universal design for learning. Here, we briefly recap the 7 general principles of universal design:

We can do no better than the guidelines and visuals provided in the Mace, et. al. online document. Please refer to that. What we can do, though, is explore what this means for learning environments – both brick-and-mortar and virtual.
